Driver of the #95 Ware Racing Monte Carlo Cheverolt

Stanton Barrett has left a 15-year career as a Hollywood stuntman and actor to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a successful NASCAR driver. Barrett has competed in the ranks of NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series, IMSA GT-1, Goody's Dash, ARCA, NASCAR Winston Racing Series, Indy Lights testing and Pro Shifter Kart racing. Barrett has a history of speed over a decade long. His professional status reaches into the realms of extreme skiing, motocross racing, automobile racing, snowmobile racing and motion picture stuntman and actor.

After a successful career in go-karts with 21 wins in 28 starts, Barrett made his Busch Series debut in 1992 at Oxford Plains Speedway where he earned the outside pole. He has run a limited schedule in the Busch Series since then with over 50 starts. His best finish was a fifth place at Atlanta Motor Speedway in 1995.

Barrett also competed in the Goody's Dash Series in 1991 when he finished sixth in points after running as high as second with six races to go. In 1993 he raced a late model at Concord (NC) where, in 13 races, he earned one win, 10 top-five finishes and nine poles. He also has four ARCA starts with three top-five finishes, and two Winston Cup starts.

Barrett comes from an extraordinary line of professional athletes. Barrett's grandfather, Dave McCoy, served as a coach for the United States Ski Team and founded Mammoth Mountain, the largest ski resort in North America. Throughout the 60's, Barrett's mother, Penny McCoy, was an Olympic and U.S. Ski Team member. At the age of 15, Penny became the youngest woman in the world to win a World Cup medal when she skied for the U.S. World Cup Ski Team. Barrett's father, Stan Barrett, was an accomplished Winston Cup driver in the early 1980's. He drove for such notables as Rick Hendrick and Junie Dunlavey, as well as the original Skoal Bandit racing team, owned by Burt Reynolds, Hal Needham, and Paul Newman (Stanton's Godfather).

For the past decade, Stanton Barrett has led a double life as a racecar driver in North Carolina, and Hollywood stuntman and director. On the west coast, Barrett owns and operates Stanton Barrett Enterprises, Inc., a production company that produces national commercials and films. Barrett has spent his spare time traveling to the east coast to put together sponsorship proposals and run a limited schedule in NASCAR.

Barrett has worked in nearly 100 motion pictures and television series. He has performed a variety of dangerous stunts, stunt doubling and stunt coordinating for many of Hollywood's finest actors in films such as: Spiderman, Jurassic Park 2 & 3, Rat Race, Blade, Batman, Nutty Professor, Volcano, Extreme, Most Wanted, Jumangi, Return to Innocence, Torque, God's and General's, Fastlane, Red Phone and Cradle to the Grave, just to name a few.

Now, in 2003, Barrett finally can focus entirely on his racing career. His partnership with OdoBan and Roush Racing has afforded Barrett the opportunity to drive his first full schedule in the NASCAR Busch Series. Barrett will fill the seat vacated by last year's 2002 NBS Champion, Greg Biffle, who will move to Winston Cup with his sponsor Grainger. With Barrett's talents completely focused on racing, and Roush's tradition of Busch Series success, look for the No. 60 OdoBan Taurus to be at the front of the pack in 2003.

Stanton was realsed after 15 races due to not enough sponsorship for the rest of th season. Stanton raced 7 more races in 03 for himself. In the 2004 season Stanton raced his own team on 16 NBS events in 04, at the end of the season Stan finished out the season for DCT Motorsports. In the 2005 season Stan was going to do both schedule Busch and Cup for DCT Motorsports in Busch and Front Row Motorsports in Cup with the # 92 car. After only 4 races with FRM he was realsed due to poor results and started his own team in Cup SBM (Stanton Barrett Motorsports). Which ran 4 races own his own. In the Busch Series the team started well but again poor results let to his realse from DCT Motorsports after 27 races tho Stanton raced 1 race for FBR.

Now in 2006 Stanton Barrett Motorsports are going for 2006 full-time owner driver. In Busch Stanton is running some races for MacDonald Motorsports the #72 ride. Half way through the 06 Cup season Stanton sells his team to WARE Racing but will continue to race for Ware Racing.
